Meershaum Pipes
Meershaum translated from German means "sea foam". This name reflects the Meershaum qualities of light weight and white color. It is a mineral and is one of the most porous substances in nature, lending it the durability to not burn out. Therefore, it is considered the perfect material for a cool, dry smoke. The highest quality of Meershaum deposits are in only one area of the world, the open plains of central Turkey which surrounds the city of Eskiehir. Meershaum is mined from up to 400 feet. The carvers then transform this block of raw stone into smooth, elegant shapes with intricate designs. Each pipe is hand carved. This makes Meershaum pipes one of the most enjoyable and beautiful pipes you can own. All of our pipes come with a velvet lined leather case designed especially for each individual pipe, and a card explaining the history.
